Hey Joe did you go ahead and have him add a rebuilt IPR with your order? Just curious, I did since I'm under the impression it's common for them to go bad after swapping the HPOP.
No. I saw on his site that he's out of them for a while, so I just have to be careful with mine. I will ask him about it though, just in case.
During my search, I've read that this new HPOP will eliminate the need for the HPX line. I thought the purpose of the HPX line was to equalize the pressure on both rails. If so, wouldn't the pump constantly provide an increased volume flow over the stock form pump? Does this pump help with injector starvation, cackle, etc.?
i took mine out per the instructions and ended up putting it back in afterwards. since i have had mine in for so long when i took it out i didnt like the rougher idle. stuck it back in and it smoothed right back out. it wasnt too rough of an idle but i dont like the extra bouncing around at a stop light. if you want you can leave it in but now would be a good time to change out the o-rings just in case...........

it may be balanced but the idle will be a little more rough than what your used to. kepp it in if you want to..........

I think it's great that you're getting this pump and look forward to reading your observations. I'm only trying to understand this thing more so I can better explain it. If this pump is a good thing to have installed, even before a DP Tuner, better turbo, etc. I want.
its no different than a modified terminator gauge or a stealth or swamps pump. its just a pump upgrade. it will build and hold higher pressure longer which helps when you have your chip set on the higher settings. ever noticed when your truck hits a wall at about 80-90 mph. thats because your hpop cant keep up with the demand the injectors are calling for. these aftermarket pumps remedy the lack of oil problem.............

i got a rebuilt one from him but ended up having to put a whole new one in because i think my ipr sensor took a dump on me. if you want ill send you the rebuilt one i got from bob and you can use it if you want to.............

That would be cool -- lemme know what you want for it!!
And thanks for the tip on the HPX too. I really like how the engine sits there barely wiggling in the bay now. Before the HPX, it jumped around a lot.
Did you see my data logging post after swapping my 15° pump for the Adrenaline? If not here it is. LINK This is with the stock AB injectors
and tuning for the stock pump..
I remember reading it. It seems that some trucks are have driveabilty issues in the lower RPMs and shaking at idle.
Did you look at your duty cycle, Mike? Mine is dropping below 2000 easily at ~65%.
No, I didn't for that one or the one I did with the stock injectors Joe. Wasn't thinking about that at the time back then. Would have been nice to compare what was being called for with the splits vs the hybrids.
They are trying to get some graphs of different setups for comparison....you've seen the thread. You might not remember because of the beer last night but you were there......
