Cab removal day - forklift time

I've started a basic restoration on my '86 using a 2-year schedule (at which time it will become my daily driver).

Today's task was removing the cab, which has now been placed in storage until next summer when I'll be ready to start patching a couple of rust areas on it.

The forklift came in handy as it always does with heavy tasks.

Sure beats the 4 men and boy with 8" 4x4s picking up a cab!

Hell. For Free? I'll take 10. Your right. never know when you need to lift something that you and 4 guys would have trouble lifting(cab, bed, engine, half of a truck, etc.)

Thanks for the replies, guys.

Chitownhillbilly - the rust is pretty minimal. I'll have to patch the floor on both sides between the rocker panels and seat. The driver's side floor is worse than the passenger. When I pulled up the rubber mat and carpet the pad was soaked, so I think the driver's window was left down a bunch of times in the rain. The cab corners and rockers are solid, so I'm very happy with the condition of the cab. The box is perfect, and the front fenders were perfect as well until I scratched one while removing it. Oh well, I'll get to practice my bodywork some more...

el dudarino - yes, it's my forklift. It's a 3000# capacity Yale diesel, which is very hard to find (usually diesel forklifts are much larger making them harder to haul around on a trailer, but this one weighes only 6500# total). I don't use it every day, but I do use it a couple of times a month. It came in very handy when removing the box. Next lift - the engine.
