I found an ad on Ebay that lists the "Black Harley Davidson Headlights". I was thinking about changing mine out and was wandering if there is anyone on here who has changed theirs out? Are there different styles that are available for our trucks or are they all the same blacked out lights. I mean are there black, dark grey, grey, etc., or are they all the same style. By the way these are OEM lights with bulbs from the factory in Ford boxes.
Yeah Tylus I remember reading that thread when you were doing it. So you think that the Harley lights are more black then the FX4 lights. I suspected as much and I was afraid they wouldn't match up with the color of my grill.
the FX2/FX4 are going to be more like what your fender flares were like when new.
to be honest, I'm betting the Harley lights would match perfectly. It's a subtle difference.
The biggest difference is that the Harley lights have a bit of chrome inside the light, and the FX2/4 are fully blacked out
I'd get the Harleys and try them. If you don't like the effect, you know they'll sell. Alot of people aren't as brave/stupid as I was to do the headlight DIY job.
Thanks for all the replies. I wasn't looking at the aftermarket line of replacements, although those do look good. I was looking at OEM replacements but at the dealership even with a discount, I am looking at $500. That is just TOO much so I guess I will keep checking the salvage yards.
