SDP Y pipe
Hey all I am thinking of ordering the sdp Y Pipe for my 01 Excursion. Any opinions of the mod and the gains from it. Is it worth the work, I think by looking at the factory set up it is a good idea.

For me, the y-pipe made a HUGE different in low-end throttle response. But I also had the ebay headers on it at the time, so I can't say what it will do with a completely stock truck.
But, it did improve the throttle response at low-end. Not that it increased anything substantially, just made the truck easier to move with less throttle when starting out, and cruising. I don't think that it really improved the top-end much.

My 00 was stock when I installed the SPD and I lost my exhaust sound. Made it sound like a six cylinder. Did notice little more power and very little if any gas mileage inprovements. The guy at SPD said my exhaust sound changed because I had a aftermarket cat? Good luck!
