I have a 6.0 with SCT (Tow, Performance, Insane), egr delete, torque converter, stock straight piped, and Regulated return fuel system. In Insane it smokes only a little, is there a way to get more smoke out of it? not looking for a lot but more. could I adjust the RR fuel system via the regulator? maybe put in a bypass just for "one of those days" ?
My truck bellows smoke and hauls ***. Just wonderin, would this be something good to help with VGT sticking problems, say have the switch hooked up, and flip it on and off to open and close the vanes. Do it every so often and they wont stick, right? Or am i looking at it wrong.lol Not while on the throttle, say maybe at idle? I drive my truck pretty hard, so im not to worried about it, just curious.
If the vanes stick it's because carbon is built up in there and it just absolutely won't move. From what I've been told (and makes sense if you think about it) the only way safely and effectively and cheaply "un-stuck" the vanes is to lay on the throttle from a dead stop until it breaks loose. That's what I did with mine (however when it happened to mine I had no idea about this issue, and knew nothing about the turbos period. I just laid on the throttle because I was pissed off the I had no power). But if anything the switch will only cause more smoking because all that smoke and carbon will run through your turbo and build up on your vaines. NO GOOD!
