not map sensor, the VGT actuator. the thingy that moves your vains.....and smoke away.
your EGR wil not thank you for that. that might be a high cost mod with stock EGR cooler. do you have warranty?
I personally wouldnt do it. It basically just keeps the turbo from spooling, so hight egts and no power. What good is all the smoke if the truck doesent hardly move?lol
mine smokes like a coal train when i want it to.....................just get a tuner and tune to the 100HP or above tune and hit the pedal it will blow clouds of black smoke........

plus it will kill your turbo. if u see my truck smoking it hauling a$$
I've got some info for you..........It's one of the STUPIDEST things you can do to your truck and turbo. For what that $1.50 switch is gonna cost you you can have an SCT with some NICE custom tunes that will smoke like crazy and run like hell WITHOUT trashing your turbo and VGT. Listen........the VGT is already cranky enough without turning it off and on, not to mention driving the computer crazy. Do you have any idea what just a VGT costs??? Not cheap. Just like the turbo. Not cheap.
Get some tunes. Do it right. PLEASE don't trash your truck besides the fact it's really not cool.
My truck bellows smoke and hauls ***. Just wonderin, would this be something good to help with VGT sticking problems, say have the switch hooked up, and flip it on and off to open and close the vanes. Do it every so often and they wont stick, right? Or am i looking at it wrong.lol Not while on the throttle, say maybe at idle? I drive my truck pretty hard, so im not to worried about it, just curious.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
The computer is programmed to do it automatically (or it used to cycle the veins at idle) to prevent this problem. If you already drive your truck the way I think you do I don't think you'll have a problem with veins sticking--LMAO.
do it if ya want it wont hurt a thing. i know of a couple handfulls of 6.0s with the switch and they are fine. i used to have one and i used it for the first couple weeks then after that you will never use it again unless there is a honda behind you like said LOL
