Injector Circuit Low Swapping coils.

I have a 2003 6.0 truck that i replaced all the injectors with the new dlc injectors. One of the injectors lost continuity an the low side. Can i just swap the coils with one from my old injectors. I took one of the old ones apart and there are alot of shims in there. Will i be alright if i just leave all the shims and swap solenoids. Also i have a lot of repair experience and training just new to diesel. thanks
Also it is my goal to learn how to rebuild injectors.

As long as you know the spool valve section is OK you shouldn't have any problems swapping it out. All the fuel mod's occur below that section anyway. There aren't really any repair parts for these injectors besides nozzles and the exterior o-rings and washers. If you can learn how to repair the spool valves you could get rich and retire quickly.
