Input on injector replacement

Im about to do a can off head gasket job again to replac my 2 year old black onyx that have failed. I currently have a few weak injectors, rough rinning and misfire/stumble when engine temp is under 120-150*

I am toying around with the idea of doing 8 new injectors during my head gasket job.

Any suggestions on where to get injectors, should i buy directly from ford or is their anyone else out their selling quailty injectors.

Also what the difference between the 03, early 04 and later injectors, from what i read can swap only a few injectors to the newer ones cause of running issues but all 8 would be fine and from what i understand the newer one's have a coating to reduce wear.

If i do go with 8 new style ones do i need a program change to run them??

Thank
and happy new year.

Here is where I bought my injector Tousley Ford Parts Depot

They are the best price I could find for OEM reman injectors, 220 a piece after the cores are returned. As far as the difference between the two injectors I am not sure someone else will have to chime in on that.

Anyone know what the difference is between the 2 different injectors for the 04 and or if i can change all 8 to the newer style or dose it require a program change to make up for the different injectors????

The difference in the 03 and later injectors is internal. External fitment and fuel delivery volume are the same.

Ok so as i am looking at it, fuel volume and size are the same so if im going to bite the bullet and do all 8 to repair the 3 weak ones i have now i should be fine going with the updated injectors that have DLC coating to last longer and resist wear, Only reason i can see you cant mix them with a concern for rough running would be different performance between the different model injectors causing an inbalance in the engine but if they all were of one type they would all be working together at the same performance level,
This is me assuming that the difference is in performance, delevery timing, fuel atomization, or smething of that sort.

There isn't a difference in performance, delivery, atomization or anything of that sort.

Sound like one new set of the updated injector is in near future for me, still wonder why it would run different if mixed? What is the different running characteristics between the 2
