The shop manual doesn't specify any special procedure for changing them. So it's probably just drive out the old one and press in the new one.
If it's being really stubborn to remove, knock the rubber bushing out of the metal shell, then collapse the shell with a punch or chisel and then drive the shell out of the axle.
To install the new bushing, press it in with a press or you can also drive it in with a hammer and socket or alternately, Put it in a big vise with a socket and try using that as a "substitute" press.
they will be stuborn to get out after 30 years or so the easy way i found to do them is to remove the axle, burn the rubber out with a torch,[out side of course, getting the rubber to actualy burn melting the rubber]remove the metal insert with a chisel you will need a press to install the new bushing what i use at home is a big c clamp [mechanics type] with a hex end on it to use with an impact and lots of anti seize [copper coat or simular] i also need to do the ones for my f350 hope this helps regurds joe
