Here's an update on the white 96 4.0l intake gasket change..
Got it done. All in all not a bad job for an experienced mechanic. I kinda enjoyed working on it..Used felpro gaskets. They say a higher torque than oem 13 vs 16 ftlbs....Did 16...Also used the right stuff gasket maker in between and I'll have to say go 3/8 inch not 1/4..Big gap! New thermostat..Had to repaint valve covers..Got alt rebuilt. New belt, oil change,
I'm lucky that the bolts on the exhaust manifolds came out. One on each side. On my blue 96 I may not be so lucky if I have to do the gaskets on her..
I really like the quality of this model ford..Kinda like my F350...Made really well from a design standpoint..I hope I can keep these 3 96's going for many years...Thanks for all your help guy's
lol dang i guess your blue one felt left out?? i wonder if this is what is wrong with mine... she seems to like to run with the radiator only half full...
