If it is out of the weep hole behind/under the fan, then yes it is fairly common. Some go with an aftermarket, some go with OEM and others (like me) go with the IH cast iron water pump. It all depends on how much you want to spend and what you want out of the water pump.
Be sure though that the weep hole is in fact where the leak is at. Sometimes it is simply the joint between the pump and the down elbow.
The three most common choices are below if you do in fact need to replace the pump.
Hard to make out in the picture what the problem is, although if you look at the pump pictured in the Amazon link you can see the weep hole just below the pulley bracket. If your leak is from the weep hole, then you are best to replace it ASAP as it will fail. That is not if, but when...
Take a look from under the truck...up behind the crank pulley. You will see the weep hole of your water pump...if it looks like mine below from 3yrs ago...time for a new pump.
