I used to do mounted civil war reenacting. After the battles the public would tour the camps. A few would look at our gray and butternut uniforms and ask "what side are you on?" After a few times, we started telling them "the American side." They always seemed satisfied with that answer.
Sorry HB...that wasn't really me...it was my evil twin!!!
Yes they are...My toilets were deemed lickable by the state.
I too always have people call and when i say there is no vacancy they will ask for a list of number for local cabins, motels, hotels, resorts etc. I tell them they will have to google the info.Unless its the motel across the street and then I will give them number.
I work in the boat business. When people walk into my shop, they have to walk past rows of boats to get where i am. Then they ask, "Do you sell boats here?" Or somtimes Ill get a phone call where the caller askes the same thing. Ill think of some more later.
I have a truck load of these type questions, but I'll just restrict myself to one....
I had lost my wallet a few months before, and received a call from a local grocery store letting me know it had been turned in to their customer service desk. When I got there, I explained why I was there to the girl behind the counter. She asked me to describe the wallet, which I did. She pulled it out of a drawer, opened it. My drivers license was in the window right in front of her eyes. As she looked right at my license she asks me , " Do you have any I.D. on you?" I laughed, framed my face with my hands and told her to look at the picture! Her supervisor was right there, took over from there. I really thought it was funnier than just stupid, and tried to tell the boss I appreciated her at least trying to do the right thing by checking to see if I was who I claimed to be.
