Weird Glow Plug problem.....

Goin' down the road few days ago in the 87' 6.9 commin' back home from a weeks vacation, we drove for about 4 hours straight, stoped at a rest area to stretch are legs for bout 5 minutes, got back in the motorhome turned the key, and the WTS light didn't come on at all, we didn't mind cause a warm engine doesn't need 'em anyway. But we did a few more stops after that, and they still never came on. Just like a fuse went out. Stoped a restorant for an hour, still didn't work. Stoped for fuel shortlly after and they started working fine again. Then after another long highway drive they stoped working again for another few start ups like wtf is up with that??

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks.

My first thought would be the chassis to engine harness connector needs cleaned.
