EGT probe location
What is the best location for the egt probe?
"new" engine going in this weekend ( *crossed fingers) and want to install the probe while its out.
I was thinking in the "collector" at the turbo.

Mines in the the driverside exh manifold too. You want the probe as close to the pistons as possible. They, the Aluminum Pistons, are the ones that suffer first from EGT's that are too high. Aluminum melts around 1250ºF.
