I'm wondering if the same original tires might be available for my '76 F-250 4x4.It only has 9000 miles with the factory tires but they're starting to dry rot.Everything I replace on the truck I want to be as stock as possible. The only thing not original on the truck is the exhaust. It has Goodyear Custom Extra Grip Wide Tread load range E 9.50x16.5 LT.I'd apprec. any info.
Coker doesn't have them and that was the only place I could think of. Tires were not so great back then, your much better off with a modern radial. Get a similar size BSW tire and your set. The 16.5" wheel will narrow your choices down. Not shure why they decided on such a half baked wheel size. If you had 16" wheels there are tons of skinny tires for it.
Some other sites I googled said these are harder than hen's teeth to find here in the States but to maybe try farm/tractor or industrial supply houses...
They made Goodyear Workhorses Extra grip until just a few months ago, but now they are finally discontinued. Dang my favorite tire and they even still made 16.5 inch sizes. You might still find a set in some ones inventory but they are totally gone off of Goodyears wed site.
