The Search is over!
The beast is in my side yard just begging me to sink some money into him 
I ended up getting him from a guy in San Francisco, CA and he came with a second rolling chassis Tranny, Engine and a third cherry frame.
I pushed him into my side yard and my daughter wanted me to pop the hood. When I did we found a nice bee hive so she has christened him Bumblebee!
Is this a sweet custom handle?

love those handles on the doors and roof. ford should have thought of that for an option. when my father in law was in his 90's and living along, i had handles mounted all over the house, he could go from his bedroom to the bathroom going handle to handle. nice truck by the way. dick r

I wish I could get my hands on a y block 312 or a 292 but...
I had a hard enough time finding the truck itself!
I was originally thinking of him as a she but my SO says that there is only one woman in my life
I do like the handles but I will have to put something a bit nicer in...

Good find! It reminds me of my first '56 I bought back in 1980. It took me a few months to completely dismantle it and another 24 years to put back together. Working full time limits your devotion to a labor of love.

Not to get sidetracked here but how exactly do you tell whether your truck is a "he" or a "she"? I assume it involved turning them over and taking a peek!!
