Anyone have a 302 with a York AC Compressor on it? I'm trying to figure out how this bracketry goes on it and I cant figure out where the idler pully goes.
I bought the bracketry and compressor used off craigslist because I went from a 300 to a 302 and the old brackets obviously will not line up.
Does anyone else have this same setup and can post some pictures for me?
These are the extra parts of the bracket that I am TOLD go with the setup.
Here are pictures of the area from a bunch of angles
Thanks for looking everyone. Hope someone else has this setup... The PO said it was on a late 70's 302.
1973/79 F100/350: Three possible A/C units were available.
If the A/C controls are in the same panel as the heater controls: Factory installed Integral A/C.
If the A/C controls are separate from the heater controls, and the A/C's HUGE dash bezel covers up the dash glove box (has a "hang-on" glove box below the dash): Deluxe dealer installed A/C
.
If the A/C controls are separate from the heater controls and are in a panel that also contains two registers...to the left of the (extant) glove box: Economy dealer installed A/C
Mikeo0o0o0 has the 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog on a CD, can scan and post pics.
If factory installed Integral A/C: Illustration Section 197, Page 3. This exploded view shows all the 1973/79 F100/150 302 engine components.
The truck is an 82 and came with a Dealer installed air and a 300-6. Its got a 302 in it now with most of the brackets coming off of an 1985 excepting this compressor bracket.
I thought the post would belong here more appropriately as the bracket was supposedly a late 70's.
I had a York on my 302 truck up until the other day, but my idler bracket didn't look anything like yours. I'll see if I can find a pic. Mine bolted to the top in two places, the side in one place and two bolts to the water pump.

Mine is a Factory A/C truck.
There are two types of these puppies...fixed and adjustable.
1970/91 F100/150 302 with factory installed A/C only used the adjustable type (D8OZ-8678-A) also used 1970/91 on all F100/350 V8's (myriad V8 1970/91 passenger cars & 1975/91 Econonlines) except 1982/91 F250/350 with 460's and diesels.
But, the OP has the wrong type, it's neither of the above because with hang-on A/C, the idler pulley is different. There's prolly other stuff that won't be correct, because he bought the parts off ebay.
