I have done quite a bit of reading here about 250/350 spring codes and rates.I have a 2000 reg cab f350 that i thought sat unusually low.Because of body damage repair, the id sticker in the left door jamb is gone so I am not sure what springs it has.Because of broken leafs in both rear springs,I found an ad on craigslist for a full set of v/b springs and bought them. The parts number on the fronts reads 1c34ada, which comes up to v springs on the charts. However,my trucks front springs part number is yc35akb.By the charts these are Excursion springs? My truck also did not come with overload springs. Is this possible for a diesel 350?Anybody have any ideas whats up with this truck? My Dad has a 2001 350 psd with x/b springs and it towers over mine.
I have had it about a year. The parts of the overload springs that are bolted and riveted to the frame are not there and there is no evidence of ever being there.
My old man was able to get a set of 350 springs with overloads and the brackets off a wrecked 350 from a junkyard. I believe he paid $160 for the whole set. This had the 4" blocks with them too. Check your springs in the rear and see which blocks are in it too, that would make a big difference. V codes in the front would be OK, X would be better, especially with a diesel, X's will get it up where it belongs. You could also do a leveling kit with the V's in front and 4" blocks in the rear to get it up there.
