went to unlock my doors today and the drivers side just makes a buzzing sound but the lock works fine with my key. thank god i have one for the door lol. but could this be a solenoid for the lock or something? how easy would it be to fix?
It sounds to me like your lock actuator isn't working anymore. If its the '95, then that would be my guess. Does the lock work with the switches on the inside doors? Or if you have keyless entry, is it only when you use the fob? My driver side actuator went out on my '96 last year. I found one on ebay for ten bucks. Kind of a pain to change, but once you get the door panel off, its fairly easy, although cramped.
I've got the same problem in my '95. All three door locks work off the switch except the driver side rear door.
Also my two rear windows don't work...
I would guess your lock is the same issue, but as for the windows, it could be the motors for that, if they didn't stop the same time. If all of a sudden they just quit, its either a heck of a coincidence or an elec. issue. If thats the case, start with the drivers door. If I remember right, the power to the window and door lock switches comes through the drivers door first. Good luck!

I had/still do have this problem. Open the rear door and look down under the bottom hinge. You will see the the wires going from the body to the door. Inspect it very closely. What I did was cut all the wires and terminated them. Someday I will go back and hook them back up. I disconnected them b/c I didn't want a fire or anything like that.

The rear windows havn't worked since I bought the truck a year ago... So I have no idea... I can hear the driver side one trying to work when I push the switch but it won't move up or down even when I'm trying ot help it with my hand.
I'll try a new motor I guess but I hear that it's a pain in the a$$ to replace them.

My passenger rear window is very slow & drivers side door lock works intermittently... I've heard the window can be a motor problem or a gear
problem, or both. It could also be that the guides need to be cleaned & lubed. I have some sound proofing material I want to install when I upgrade my speakers and figured I'd try to fix the window and lock problem at the same time... just need a free weekend!!!!
