Hey guys i am kinda have a difficult time with this. I wanted to go to International to get some of the parts i need for my motor but every single # i give them they say isn't the serial and it doesn't bring anything up. I have give them every # off of the stickers on both valve covers. and i have give them the number that is stamped on the block right behind the oil filter. the one behind the oil filter i know are the serial # but whoever put them on did a **** poor job of it and i cant read them for the life of me. i have scotch brighted them to death and all i can get is **B4111*
The guy did say that if i were to get a # from someone that had the same year and make as my truck with the engine build date almost the same that that would probably work just as good
So with that said anyone with a EARLY 99 and a engine build date of about June 26, 98 that has a good and working engine serial # that you can give me that would be awesome.
I have a 10/98 build truck...
But why do they need the serial # anyways? Just tell them you have a 98 T444E and they should be able to get anything you need.
The International dealer near me gave me the same BS. They finally did find the parts I needed. Didn't seem like they wanted to be bothered. To top it off I wanted to get the gasket for the top of the HPOP reservior and they told me the T444E/International version didn't have this. They said Ford must have put it on the 7.3.
I have a Late 99 so wont do, but I did find my ENGINE SERIAL# listed on my "OASIS" report. You can get it right here I don't have the link but maybe some one else can post it for us.
