I'm pretty sure that the s/n for the 7.3 can be found on the sticker on the passenger valve cover. If that sticker isn't there anymore then it is stamped in the block somewhere but I don't remember where it is.

It is sometimes stuck on the HPO reservoir. But the physical stamp is near the oil filter. I think it is written vertically. It is to the rear of the oil cooler above the filter.

Any help with my engine serial would help. Pretty sure this is a remanned or rebuilt motor based on what I’ve read.7.4JU2U1921160

Im replacing my radiator and oil cooler in my 02 excursion but I’m not sure what coolant type to use, conventional with sca or hd elc. I have upgraded the injector cups to stainless if that makes a difference of what I should use. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If the stainless cups you used were from Riffraff I'm sure they give out the correct sealant to use ELC. Some members here have used ELC with 94.5-E99 factory sealant with no leaks, so there's that.

z31freakify you hit the nail on the head. I used Loctite 620 compound from riff raff.

thanks
