Defueling??

Defueling??
Can someone explain defueling to me? Is this why my psd does not billow black smoke when i stand on it? It would be nice to have had this weekend when that little ricer was getting on my nerves and i just wanted to fill his car up for him.

Defueling is a safety feature that reduces engine output based on certain parameters. If your truck is stock it will defuel at any of the following setpoints:
- Coolant temp > 227 deg F
- Oil temp > 254 deg F
- RPM > 4000
- Speed > 95 mph

yes u can set the defuel based on your EGT's with the edge, but seriously as someone who used to have the edge then switched to the sct, dont make my mistake...forget the edge start with the SCT and go get some gauges. If you want smoke give eric at innovativediesel a call
