Miles, good to hear you ran well despite all the problems! I plan on doing a frame off resto on the 67, won't be completely stock, though. I'm swapping out the 300-6 cyl. for a 390 I have, with the GT heads. I'll warm it over, but nothing too radical. I'm also going to try and adapt a late 70's/80's four or five speed and transfer case to the 390. I'll probably give it a lift too, maybe 3-4 inches.
I like the sound of those plans... I'm a big fan of the GT 390! I got into lots of trouble as a teenager with a '66 F-100 with that motor...
Morning Scott. I like the 390, still easy to get parts for, and not as pricey as the 428. I had one in a 67 cougar, had a straight front axle, and drilled out shocks. It would carry the tires through first gear!
Good morning Miles, Pat, and all others that come this way. Life is getting slowed down a little at this moment but will pick up again hunting season............in the meantime I shall start getting my winter wood in before the snow fly's.
With as crazy as this summer has been I would not like to even make a wild guess what winter will be like but think it will be interesting...........I will take my most thought out guess next May.
Good morning........another chilly night here at the ranch. I cannot beleive it but for the most part I' am speachless as to where this winter will go. Today wraps another week and hope everyone will get a chance to get out and enjoy the sun as last I have heard it was supposed to be nice this weekend.
Good Morning Orin and the rest of my Wyoming friends. Well, first day of vacation for me! Kind of like having 10 saturdays and a sunday! I'll be pretty busy, though. It's pretty cool here today, only supposed to be in the 70's, but warming up in to the 80's this weekend. Think I'll go out and give my 06 a bath.
You guys all have a great day, and a great weekend, I'll pop in from time to time.
