Power problem 1979 f100
I just recently bought a 79 f100 and it was running good until recently. It ran out of gas and now i put some in it and when i go to drive it it bogs down and stalls. i replaced the fuel filter already and it didnt help. I was thinking it might be the fuel pump but im not sure. Im only 18 and i got this truck for a project and now i dont know what to do. Please help.

how much gas did you put back in it?
is there a filter before the pump?

I put about 5 gallons in it and i replaced the filter right next to the carb. im not sure if there is another or not

there isnt one from the factory but what im getting at is maybe some crap in the tank is clogging your fuel pump
might check into that.

Is the fuel pump located in the tank?

nope drivers side of engine
assuming its all stock
straight 6 will have it in the open
v8 will be kinda hidden behind the power steering bracket

Ok it has a 302 V8 but no power steering
