4X4 to 2X4 e4od

I have a 2wd truck with an E4OD. Can i buy a used 4X4 e4OD and swap some parts without disassembling the whole thing?

much easier to buy a 4x4 and sell your 4x2
but you can swap parts over if you want.

No the transmissions would have to be completely stripped as I understand it the tailshaft is the last thing to come out.
