97 door cable replacement
Any one know where I can get a blow up door schematic? Had the handle come off in my hand a while back, which I now understand is common because the cable stretches. At any rate I have to replace the cable and I think I have to go as far as pulling the guts out down to the actuator...true?

It isn't too bad. You can get the cable at NAPA. Balkamp p/n BK 819-5768. If you pry back the lever on the latch end, you can get the new cable started there. After you have it hooked up to the latch, then repeat the process on the handle end.
You have to remove the door panel and water shield to access these parts. One screw at the top front corner and the armrest pocket, then pry out the plastic clips. I always use new clips, since they seem to lose their holding power after even one use.
