replacing door handle cable

My 93 needs the cable replaced in the door to be able to open it from inside. I was working on it last night, but it got too dark. The problem I'm having is getting to the cable at the latch. Is there any trick to getting it disconnected, then getting the new one in?

Unbolt the Handle from the door panel and you will have enough room to remove/reinstall. Careful not to bend the linkage.

I have the panel off, the cable broke at the handle. I have the 3 screws and 1 bolt out of the latch assembly but cant get it out of the door.
