They do test deisels here. All weights. They go by year model. A new truck won't be tested for four years. Then every two years and when it's a little older every year. When referring to DPF delete, are you actually removinig the DPF? If so, could you put it back before testing and let the engine calibrate itself for it? Or is it a permanant delete?

you can put it back all you want just reprogram the computer. so yes you could pass the test just remeber to the dpf back in and reprogram.
as for regens mine used to go into regen every 100-120 miles empty, and lots more when loaded. I was barely getting 300 miles per 38-40 gallon tank of fuel empty.
both my spartan and livewire from innovative fixed that
now I get around 450-500 miles per tank and looooootttttts more power.
I have decided I am going to order the spartan setup with everything delete. I am tired of seeing my money pissed away. I drove the hell out of the truck comming down. Anchorage Alaska to Medford Oregon in 3 days I didn't ***** foot it on the hills either. I just think of it as I just watched my truck waste 40 gallons of diesel and most of that was at 3.50 a gallon or better till I hit the states. Thats alot of cash pissed away for nothing.... I am going to get a feel for the dealership here and see if they are going to be goobers or not.
Just a quick word of caution on letting fuel level get below quarter of tank...there is 15%to 19% of play so your 50 miles to empty may actually be between 40 and 60. Know of one driver that had 21 miles to empty and had to be towed back to the dealer to get fixed. We lucked out...limped into Pilot with "0" miles to empty and that was pulling a 15K fifth-wheel. That will not happen again!
I regen about every 200 miles. I rarely drive unloaded and usually have no less than 10K and most of the time pull around 17K. Only 10K miles on the truck. I get about 9mpg towing 10K at speede up to 70mph and about 9 mpg pulling 17K at speeds up to 65 mph.
My truck is 08 F550 w/6.4L and I have found that the "regen" is dependent on the amt of fuel the engine has used. The better your fuel economy, the fewer times per tank/miles you will have a regen. My truck is pulling a 21,000 lb 5th wheel and gets 6-7.5 mpg and will do a regen about every 80 to 120 miles. If you happen to get fuel at a station that has old fuel (fuel in their tanks that is over 21 days old) you will have more frequent regen's
Hey SLEDHEAD_24_7 tell me more about this "sparten" or what ever it is. The only problems I have ever had with this truck is directly related to this emissions BS and I am getting tired of it.

You can take a look at our site at www.spartandieseltech.com. We specialize in off-road 6.4L tuning from 40HP up to 275RWHP over stock; if you have any questions just let us know.
the "message board" (when the trip odometer is) should blank out the trip and odometer and display a message that says "Cleaning Exhaust Filter". That message will stay until it is finished and then disappear and the regular information will return. Also you may hit the 'reset' button on the instrument panel and the message board will return to normal during the 'regeneration of the DPF'.
Once you get fed up with regens and crap for milage and nooooo power, get a hold of Spartan Diesel Tech. I know Matt has been trying to destroy his test truck trying to find the week spots in these trucks. They have not been that successful at it. These 6.4's are proving to be great for mods.
I check the message board reasonably often. I've never seen such a message. My truck is a Job 3. Next time I'm near the dealer, I may stop by and ask if I my programming is up to date.
