I was at the Sharonville, OH, transmission plant in 2001. It's about 90 miles from the Kentucky Truck plant where they build Superdutys. The trans plant quality manager told me that the limit on building Superdutys at that time was how many automatic transmissions they could build. As soon as the truck was filled with transmissions it left for the truck plant. The transmissions that were the last to go on the truck were still warm from the final test when they were bolted to engines. Minutes after the trans is bolted to the engine it gets installed in a truck. So about three hours after the trans is built it's driven off the end of the assembly line.
Mark, So since my truck was manifactured in Kentucky ending 3/27/01, it's likely my tranny was built on or about 3/20. So, do I have to be parinoid or not (please let me know...... so I can O.C. about something else!) Thanks.

OK, I looked when I got home yesterday and I have a build date for the trans BD-0H18, and my truck build date is 8-19-'00. They are 1-day apart.
