Subscribing, I have an AIS and it will be needing a new element next year.
I've tried to find it before on Fleetfilter, no luck.

Under NORMAL operating conditions how often should I need to replace my AIS element?

the ais brochure states that you have to go by the filterminder instead of a visual inspection of the filter

What's normal operating conditions?

Normal for me was 30-40,000 out of mine with a lot of miles on gravel/dirt roads.

I have had mine in for 3 years and it has only move the filterminder a little. Before I put the fender sleeve I was able to get it into the red when I got on it. So I dont know how good the filterminder works.

Check with Ed at Y2K parts. I had the replacement saved when he was at the old place but have deleted it. I'm pretty sure it was cheaper than the price listed above when he was there. Not sure about now though. Worth a shot......

Here's a link to his site incase you wanna check. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=214072

2U2Z9601BA .. Element Assy (Motorcraft FA1757)

MSRP: $95.95 // Y2KFORDPARTS.COM price: $69.08.

If y'all have a Ford part number, all you have to do to get the MSRP and discount price...is type it into Ed's site: Y2KFORD PARTS.COM or PARTSGUYED.COM.

But...make sure you REMOVE any spaces or hyphens, type it like I did.

If you type the number with spaces or hyphens, you'll get: No parts found!
