I kinda guessed that. Only thing made me guess otherwise is, the fact that there is a 3/4" white tube running from the back of it. I figured a temp sensor would be more of an electronic sensor sorta thing, more like a sending unit.

There is a little thermocouple/doo-dad in there just inside the slots. The tube is (supposed to be) connected to the blower housing so it will pull air in past the thermocouple and get a better reading of the air temp in the cabin. The EATC works like crap when the tube isn't connected.

rims are 7.5" wide on all the F-150's
heard a rumor the F-150 20's are 8.5" wide like my Expy, but have never been able to verify.
btw, the EATC gets all weird when you blow hot air into those slots...I was bored one day and played mind games with my EATC
