Is that a step coming out of the tailgate? Is that stock?

Yep that is a stock 08 tailgate some have the step some don't its also on the 09 F-150s

I've been in contact with a guy on craigslist looking for some mirrors. He said that he was getting another truck and is supposed to call me when it comes in. If he has a good tailgate I'll post it up.

No, you need part # 4L3Z-83430B39-AA Ford calls it a "roller". Its actually the left side hinge bracket.
