I know its big on jeeps. But can it be done on superdutys? I have a 4" lift already but the front sits a little too low. Will this raise it up? Even if its an inch. The only thing I want to spend, is my time.
I never thought about doing this, sounds like a project.
EDIT:!!! That site is awesome, they have 2" and 4.5" shackle lifts. I think I'm going to order the 4.5" shackle lift to add to my current 4" suspension lift.
I did it on my 93' and gained 2.5 inches. If I remember right. I was goining to do it to my 99' but ran across a set of factory dodge 1 ton blocks which are the height I was looking for.
Off the top of my head, I would think it would play a negative part in pinion angle, causing premature wear on the U-joints and possiblly bearings in the rear end and tranny or transfer case.
Unless you cut and reweld the mount plate on the axle.
Dont know, never tried it, because of reasons stated
Am I just being a newb and missing something? The springs already sit on top of the axles (and a block spacer in the back too), or do you change the spring mounts to the frame?

R u talking about flipping the stock ones or those lifted ones from above
You cannot flip the front shackles. Only the rears. This is because of 2 things; First, the design of the shackles themselves does not allow them to be flipped, the front shackles are 'boxed' at the axle end in a way and would not work upside down, and Second, the shackles mount directly to the frame, thus flipping them would only make them flipped, it would not gain you any height. Shackle flips are typically only done on the rears of vehicles because the pivot system that the rear shackles use allows height to be gained and more shackle movement to be gained when the design is flipped upside down. On our trucks, doing so in the front would have no effect unless the new shackles were longer. But they still would not need to be flipped.
When someone talks about a shackle flip giving them more lift height, it isn't actually the shackle being flipped that gained them the height. It is the pivot system as a whole.
There are kits that raise the front 2.5 and some that raise it 4.5in. i plan on adding the 4.5 to my 8in when my tires get bald and run some 44s.its not so much as a shackle flip as a hanger kit.
The 4.5 would take you past level but is an easy way to add afew more inshes to your truck. My buddy put the leveling kit on his stock 01 and really likes it.

I have done a shackle leveling kit to my truck that I fabricated myself.
For clarification purposes, the kits you showed are not actually shackle flip kits. They simply provide longer shackles and drop spring hangers to increase the distance between axle and frame providing more lift.
