1989 Front Axle Help
New to 4x4 trucks and need a little help figuring out what front axle is on my 1989 F150. 4x4, 4.9 (300ci), Manual Trans. Haynes manual lists procedures for two different axles (Later models except Dana 44-IFS & Dana 44-IFS). I found all the info for my rear axle, but nothing for front. I can't find any tags or stamps on the axle, but the truck has sat for two years and is very, very rusty so they could be obliterated. Can anyone point me to a location to look for markings so I know which procedure to use (one lists the need for specialty tools - I'd prefer to have them on hand when I start disassembly). Thanks!!
