It is an 86 BII, 2.9, auto w/overdrive. It will start but quits when you let off the key. Could this be the control module on the distibutor? It is my daughters truck and she said she hooked jumpers up backwards before this started happening. I know it fried the fuel pump relay but I replaced that.Man I really hate this electronic stuff. I long for the days of old.
will it stay running when you let off they key if you are on the gas? if so i say the iac on the throttle body. if not, and more than likely the ignition switch is coming apart
It does not run with the key in run even with the gas pedal to the floor. OK dumb question, where is the spout connector located? Like I said I don't work on this stuff lol.
i must have been in a daze when i read that last, i missed the jumper cable part,lol. tfi/dist is a possibility, but so is the pcm with this situation. the pcm is in the pass kickpanel if you can get a donor to try
