Edge insight

Just wondering what are the most important temperatures you don't want to exceed, and should be monitored when towing. If the max temperature is reached do you back out of the throttle or what?

i have the edge dpf delete tuner, with cat and dpf gone, mine alarms at like 1300 degrees but when i really stand on it or run it hard i've seen temps just up to like 1800 on the egts. what i watch close is engine oil temp and ect which alarm at 230 degrees and if your towing watch the trans temp. while towing the egts normally run about 1000 to 1200 i've seen normal temps. being as you titled the post edge insight i'm assuming that you have an edge insight which you should be able to set temp alarm points to alert you if they are reached and if they do def back out of the throttle.

I did get the insight so I could monitor the engine functions, but I haven't run across anything that says what parameters to set. I hope to hear more on what trans temps to keep an eye on.

trans temps above 230 i think is where that alarm should be set and egt's above 1300

My insight will not give me the trans temp. I called the edge people and for some reason they can't get it. If you have it on your insight I'm jealous and confused.

I also cant get the trans temp on my edge insight, I haven't called about it but if someone hears back on how to get it that would be helpful. On the EGT which sensor are you watching?

I believe under Ford specific is where you will find the trans settings.

Trans temps were lost with one of the program updates. Edge reprogrammed the "update" back to an earlier version and I was able to get trans temps back again.
