since i bought my 91 f150 2wd 302 AOD i have been getting check engine lights randomly lasting about a minute each time?
the light flashes really fast indicating it was about to send codes then it flashed 3 times with a medium pause between them then a long pause then that the same thing again then 1 flash then a long pause then 1 flash and another long pause then it gave me codes 179 and 328
179: Right side still rich, at leanest adaptive limit, during part throttle.
328: EVP circuit below minimum voltage of 0.24 volts.
i did not recognize the first sequence i described, i ran the codes in blue and after the first fast blinks it goes straight to codes?
also any ideas as to what is causing these problems i knew the truck smelled kinda lean at idle?
What is the condition of the air injection system? Any part of it disabled, disconnected, or malfunctioning? With the engine at operating temp air should be pumping out of the exhaust silencer on the passenger fender.
Also what fuel pressure dies it make at the fuel rail and is there any evidence of fuel leaking out of the fuel pressure regulator?
i dont see any signs of fuel leak any where...i havent checked the A.I.R. system and i probably wont be able to check the fuel pressure but it doesnt show any signs of a fuel pressure problem, theres no stumbling or hesitation of any sort
