My dad has a 2005 Ford F150 and his airbag light buzzes and flashes. We counted and it flashes 5 times then short pause then 1 flash then long pause and restarts. Also I dont know if it is related but his cruise control doesnt work either. Thanks for any help.
HTCMAN- I have an 07 that my airbag light flashes on once in awhile is his light doing it all the time. I have to drive by a radar on a military base everyday and it sets my light off ask me why and I cannot tell you. My neibor has a 06 and drives by the radar and sets it off on his truck too. Does your dad drive by anything like that or is the light just on all the time.
Steve- Welcome to the forum as we can see you moved here....

Fellas, there is a recall on all 04-08 F150s that is currently open. It has to deal with the clockspring inside the steering column and its chances of wearing through the airbags wire causing immediate and sudden deployment of the airbag. The airbag light coming on is the first warning that you have a problem with the wiring being worn.
The work done by the dealership is free of charge for the clockspring recall. I would suggest calling the dealer, giving them your VIN, and scheduling an appointment to get this taken care of.
If you don't, then the likelihood of the airbag deploying on you for no reason becomes ever greater. Honestly, if it were me, I would NOT want a huge punch in the face while I'm just cruising the highway.

Call your dealer
Hidee Ho To All (You Too Chandler)!!!
Been a While however, I received a recall notice from Ford about the Clockspring Mech that has to do with the AirBag deploying pre-maturly(sp).. ( I won't include the Puns here ),,,, '
Anywho; Took my "05" F150 to my local Dealership, In & Out in a very short time. Fixed the "Do-Hickey" that was a possible messed up Clockspring something or other..and I went on my Merry Way...
Even if anyone with an "04-09" F150 hasn't received an official recall notice , Check with Ford Users.com and look in the recall section, or just make an appointment with your Local Ford Dealership.. They'll fix it no cost what-so-ever.. And that my Friends is a "Good Thing"!!!
