leaking C6 tranny
The seal is recessed in the case and with something about the right size you can pry it from the case. It is tight. The new one goes in easy just find something slightly smaller than the hole in the case to drive it in with.
Napa can get you the seal.
I would try to find a replacement kickdown lever if you can and put it in while you have it apart. Even if you don't hook it up it will be there if you decide to. I think you will like it much better with it hooked up. Be sure you can get whatever you are going to use for a shifter hooked up also. You might need to replace the cut off manual lever.
Any place that rebuilds trans should have the needed parts around used.
There are different manual levers depending on application. Some stick up, some down some closer or farther from ther case as well as probably longer and shorter. If you are fabing linkage you can probably adapt most but be aware their are different ones. As far as I know all kickdown shafts are the same.
There is a small o-ring seal that goes on from the outside that seals between the kickdown shaft and the manual lever shaft.
Good luck.
I just got back from a 20minute spin on a 95degree afternoon and I don't see any leaking whatsover. Especially around the gear selector shaft area where I was guessing it was the problem.
Things look great in the tranny dept. Now on to other fires.
Thanks again
