Spring/Coilover question

Hey guys, gals. I'm fightin with my '56 again!! It dont quite have enough suspension travel right now its only got about 1 1/2" between the A frame and the subframe ('76 Nova subframe) and also my tires slightly rub if I turn even the slightest to tight to park, goin down the road is fine. Anyway, I've changed springs too many times to count. Currently I have a pair of '95 Crown Vic cop car springs that had a 4.6 in it (very heavy despite the small displacement)

I said all that history to tell this, I'm considering changin over to a set of QA1 coilovers. I saw a conversion/setup in Speedway catalog and even though a bit pricey($450) I thought with the ability to adjust the height in fine incrinements it might be what I'm lookin for. What I'm askin you guys for is do any of you have these in anything? And how do they ride? I put some homade spacers in and got WAY too much lift (2") I know the springs will settle a little bit from bein out for a couple of days, but not that much. I wanted to go up about 1/2 to 3/4" NOT that much. Right now it looks like a doggone 4WD. I cant stand it!! I hate to spend that much money on it, but I am tired of changin springs too!! If nothing else, I may have to put it back like it was and just be more careful
