problem with doors

I am working on a 52 f1 and doing a frame swap to a s10 frame (dont tell me not to do it i have read all the negative things about it still going for it). I have the cab all mounted up and the doors were lining up fine after some tweeking on them. Now after a trip on the trailer to a friends to get some welding done on the frame the doors dont line up like they use to. i am thinking that it might have tweeked the cab on the ride looking to get some advice on getting the doors to line up again.

thanks for any help

Well, they may settle out from all the vibration of being on the trailor. I really wouldn't worry about it too much until you have all your paint done and new weather stripping on. If you do and you want to adjust the doors the procedure is in the shop manual. If you don't have one, it's time to buy one - e-bay - $25. You'll need a big rubber mallet too.

Did you have the cab fastened to the S10 frame? If not then I can see how it may have changed during the trailer ride. Once you get it to the final connection to the frame then I would readjust them and "index" them with two 1/8" holes in each side of the hinges, two in each hinge face, on the pillar and on the door. Once you have your paint done you can use short pieces of 1/8" rod to line them back up to the index holes. I don't like jacking with newly painted doors. This will also help in case you have to remove a door for some reason at a later date.

it was bolted to the frame but the front two were loose that is what i am thinking was my problem. i think i will pull the cab off remount it and line them up again and see what happens
