Hood Hinge
Anyone have a spare 66 driver's side hood hinge laying around? I bought a 67 one and installed it and it causes the left side of the hood to raise about a inch above where it should be. The old one fell apart and I tossed it not thinking that the 67 wouldn't fit. I'm finding out that the 66 model year must of been the last as none of the 67 parts seem to match up. I ran a search here up came up empty.
Thanks,
Bob in Georgia

Have you looked at Dennis Carpenters? I am looking at new reproductions on page 65 of his parts book. Cost about $80 and the part number is C2TZ-16797-C and their phone number is 1-800-467-9653. Hope this helps.

Cost about $80 and the part number FOR THE LEFT (DRIVERS ) SIDE is C2TZ-16797-C and their phone number is 1-800-467-9653.
The right (passenger) side hinge is
C2TZ-16796-C .
These hinges are also available from FTE sponsor carolina-classics.com for $80.00 each / 800-598-4211.
Dennis Carpenter is
not an FTE sponsor.

NumberDummy,
Is there a list of FTE Sponsors somewhere here on the website?

The powers that be changed the site recently.
Originally, sponsors for certain forums were listed on that particular page.
Now they're all jumbled above (or to the left if y'all are not a supporter).
To find them all and their links, refreshing over...and over...and over...again is a necessity.
Here's what the last 1961/66 list was, before they messed with it. The following all sell repro parts for our old rolling piles of misery!
MAR-K / CAROLINA CLASSICS / BLUE OVAL TRUCK PARTS / AUTO KRAFTERS / NATIONAL PARTS DEPOT / MAC'S ANTIQUE AUTO PARTS.
If you go to the forum main page, then scroll down, only BLUE OVAL is listed, and they sponsor many different forums.
