Hello all I have a question in regards to the 77 headlights. I recently purchase a 77 f150 step side 4X4, however the headlights is square. My question is this original to the truck, from my understanding late 77 could have been equipped with the square lights. I could be wrong. Thanks
77 should have round headlights, do you have the 77 split grille? or the 78/79 "egg crate" grille? many guys swap out for the 78/79 grille, maybe your PO did as well.
I have the “egg crater”. That my thought as well, that the previous owner may have done a swap. But is it true that the late 77’s may have been equipped with the square lights. I have read this some place. Thanks for your reply Montana-Highboy
1977 build date trucks might - but they'd be titled as 1978's. The square headlights came with the '78 model (though some of them may have round headlights in the egg crate grille). Either way, there were no '77 model year trucks produced with square lights.
