New 2006 offer from dealer, need advise

Hi folks, I know this is my first post but I have been looking all over this site for the last 6 months, and have now a urgent question.

I have been offered a 2006 F250 4x4 s/c 6 ¾ 6.0l Auto

It has the following:

XLT trim
Diesel + torqshift 5 spd auto $5100 + $1490
3.73 ratio limited slip $300
Chrome package + tubular step bars $1050
E shift on the Fly $ 185
Roof clearance lights $ 55
Fog Lamps $104
Forged alu wheels $305
6 power seat $290
Tow command system $450
Body side protection moldings $60

<O</O
Standard Vehicle price $32,555
Total + options $42,095
D&D $850
Total MSRP $42,945

I can get this truck for $28000

<O</O
The only thing I have to prove is that I own a ford truck newer than 1998 what I do, I have a 1999 4x4 psd s/c with 197,000 miles on it.

Just owning it is worth $2500 included in the more than $14,000 off!

<O</O
What y’all think? Jump, or let it go?

<O</O
I really like my 99 but this may be my chance to own a new Diesel Truck.

By the way I will be doing about 15000-20000 a year with 50% light to medium towing, up to 10K

Thanks for your input.

Auke

What is the miles? Sounds expensive to me compared to Texas pricing.

Sounds like a great deal. Is it new or used?

This is a brand new truck, well it had 105 miles on it and after my test drive 120, so I consider this new.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

How did I get this deal? Only thing I could see was a big inventory (problem)

<o></o>

Thanks for all the feedback so far, I need it.

Hey, I take your comment as to be cautious, and I am.

any tips what to look for or ask?

This is a local, small town, always been there dealer, also has good reputation.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

To me it looks like they want to make room and are tired to look at this beautiful truck.

<o></o>

I’m going down there tomorrow with the wife, she is the one with the last say so.

I will let you know what happens.

I would guess that it is legit and lucky. '08s hitting the streets. '07s on the lot....there sits an orphan '06.

Do make sure it is untitled and run an OASIS just for kicks...and peace of mind.

I think KW hit the nail on the head. 08's coming. 07's still there. Time to cut their losses on an "old" 06.

BUY IT!!!!

Get it!

There are no differences from the '06s to'07s, they are essentially the same trucks.
