Just introducing myself to the 7.3L Forum, been around studying-up for a while and finally bought one for my very own... A 2002 F350 Lariat 4x4 CC LB DRW 3.73 with 170,000 on the clock. Bone stock.
Coming from the respectable V10, things have definitely changed both under the hood and under the right foot, and I love every bit of it!
Welcome to the oil burner side of the truck world. Nice looking rig.
I know you have read the threads about the V-10 vers 7.3. Can you give us a little insite on why you are so happy with the Diesel? What can you see that is different?
Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! Yeah, you guessed right on the future modding to be done. I will start with the simple things first as it is a daily driver and would like to keep fuel economy in mind.

I don't want to elaborate on a comparison basis, but I will say that after some time driving each (f350 7.3 and f250 V10, both SC SB and 3.73) I found both engines to be outstanding in both power delivery and dexterity, however, when it comes to basic fuel ecomomy and performance potential, the diesel was my first choice for the truck I now have.
