While living in Fort Knox a squirrel decided my vacuum lines on my 2000 EX diesel were delicious. Can anyone post a picture or diagram of how the lines are supposed to run. There is a small tree of lines that come out of the vacuum canister on the right side between battery and the AC system. The lines apparently run the vents for the dash board and the lockers for the 4 wheel drive. Right now the vents are stuck in defrost position and 105 degree temps are killing us.
My Mom was complaining about the way her car was running the other day so I told her I would check to see if the air cleaner was plugged. I took the air cleaner out and it was plugged full of eaten hickory nuts that a ground squirrel had carried in there. There is a hickory tree close to where she parks. We had to take the shop vac and clean all the shells and poop out of the air box and anywhere else on the engine it stopped to eat. Car ran alot better then.
