Im buying a 65 f350 with a 352 and np435 4speed. I think I can get it running again even though it has been dormant for years it still turns over very easily by hand.
I was thinking on swapping this engine and trans in place of the 300 inline and what was a 3 on a tree in my 65 f250 4x4. The engine in this truck is missing many parts and is currently locked up tighter than Fort Knox. The trans is long missing
I love the 300 but I would really like to the old girl running again. How hard would this swap be if I decide to go that route?

I am having a hard time following you. You currently own a truck that is not running, you are buying a truck that is not running, and you want to get the old girl running again.
The FE & I6 use the same engine perches, so that can work, they have different bells so no direct swapping, throttle cables are very differnt. One is a floor shift and the other column shift??
I would reccomend either rebuilding one of the engines and tranny, or finding a good running engine tranny to install. You are looking at a lot of headaches messing with either of those old puppys as is.
Both of these trucks use the front and rear engine mounts rather than the side engine mounts used in the 2WD trucks. Since the 352 is shorter from firewall forward you'd need to transfer the front engine cross brace and use the front engine supports and mounts from that truck. It uses the timing chain cover to bolt the front mount to. The rear engine support cross brace is probably in the same location relative to the firewall. Then as John says bring over any of the throttle cable that works. It's a different setup on the firewall for the 6 versus 8 so you might have to get a bit creative there. The V-8 uses a sort of pivot that bolts through the firewall and transfers motion to a hard linkage while the I-6 uses a flexible throttle cable that bolts to the firewall with a little bracket.
The NP435 comes in a 2WD and a 4WD variation with some differences. The 4WD has bosses on the side of the transmission case to bolt the bracket to for the transfer case shift lever and a different rear flange that bolts to the shorty intermediate driveshaft using bolts instead of a U-joint. The first U-joint is between the trailing end of the intermediate shaft and the transfer case.

John, there are no perches since this is an F350 (look at upper pic). 1965 F100/250 4WD, 1965/66 F350, 1966 F250 4WD use a similar engine mounting system as 1961/64 F100/350's.
L shaped bracket bolts to the front of the engine, uses two rubber insulators, one above, one below the cross member.
Bell housing has two "ears" .. uses four rubber insulators, two per side. One below the cross member, one above the cross member below the ears of the bell housing.
Personally, I cannot see any reason to buy an F350 since with front leaf springs, they ride and steer like oxcarts. P/S (Ford/Saginaw) was not offered for F350's until midyear 1969.
Another downside is the 6 lug wheels on a 7.25" bolt circle, and...
1965/66 F350 352 2V's do not use a throttle cable. There are two possible F350 240/300 cables, 1965 is one type, 1966 is another. Both are obsolete, neither is repro'd and are very hard to find NOS

I think I might ought to start thinking about retiring from this daily grind. I am forgetting too many of those things and there are far too many new guys that can replace me.

John, I don't think anyone could replace you, nor would want to. LOL
