Why does only one wheel spin when doing a burn out ?

Got's a question about my f-350, when I was leaving a buddy's house the other night , He was busting my b--l's about my 7.3 so I lit the beast up and left a one leg stand about 75 yards. Why didn't both wheels spin ?

Do you have a limited slip? and even if you do the clutch packs inside could be worn out. Sometimes if you throw to much power at the wheels at once the limited slip wont grab..

If it is LS, there could be too much friction modifier in there. Look at the sticker in the driver's door jamb. Under "AXLE" (if it's a 3.73) it'll say "31" or "C1". C1 = LS, 31 = open diff.

If you have 4.10s, it'll say C2 or 32.

Do you think the axle juice is worn down, because the truck before spun both tires. I don't make a habbit of doing burn outs all of the time but it's been awhile since I have done one. The truck has 116000 on her and I have not changed the axle juice in a long time ?

You can try changing the lube. Try to get 75W-140 without any friction modifier and add your own 2 oz. at a time until it doesn't chatter anymore.

I just changed mine last month, but I put in Royal Purple with the FM already in it. Need to do a burn out to make sure the clutches are working right. Think a cop will buy that if I get busted??

EDIT: If you do decide to change the fluid, look into the '08 cover (I'm assuming your 350 is not a dually). Here's what mine looks like:

What does a "D1" indicate?

3.73 LS. What the difference between C1 & D1 is, I don't know. Here's where I got the info:

Looks like he got it ALL from Target!?

Cover comes by itself. You'll want to get SS cap-head bolts for the install. I'll see if I can find the size.

Read post #1 and #7

The only thing I did different was use cap-head bolts instead of hex head, makes no differance.
