Who makes the best window deflectors? The side window ones you know plastic go along top edge of window so you can have window down a few inches but not get rained on.
WeatherTech's in channels are usually considered the top of the line. I'm going to keep using them. EGR's in channels are a great compromise between the Weathertechs and their price tag. The rest are the rest of lines. Weather Tech mills theirs so they fit tighter in the window channel, they also seem to be held to much tighter tolerances. I've installed 50+ of egr and weather techs, there are some applications (Sport Trac) that are an absolute bear, but the weather tech's were slightly easier. Weather Tech rain guards should run ~$70 for a two door and $120 for 4 door. EGR is pretty close in fit, but they only come in dark smoke and should be $45 for 2 door and ~$60 for 4 door.
I had WeatherTech deflectors on my truck when I bought it. Didn't like the looks so I took them off, but they're painted white so you probably wouldn't be interested They did work and fit great though.
I went through 3 sets of the inexpensive ones. Two sets of the ones you get at O'Reilly and AutoZone, 1 set of Ford. I finally got the WeatherTech ones, I'm now done. They are awesome. No adhesive, fit tight and don't rattle or fall out.
i went through a couple of egr's cracking not milled down enough but my last pair i took care of that myself and they been on the truck since 04 , next pair would be the weather techs.
They had a bad batch around 04. I put all three sets I had in one truck and each cracked. I ordered up replacements for the three sets and each of those fit in the trucks. The front rain guards were off spec by ~0.1". A file could take them in there, but their warranty is less work.
I will readily through another vote into the mix for WeatherTech's Side Window Deflectors. I have had a set in each of my (past & current) five trucks with zero issues. I could not be happier.
OK I'm convinced if more than three people on here can agree on something it must be a good product.
Had to get them shipped to family in Lower 48 though and have them reship them to AK they wanted $15 shipping to PA and $60 to AK! I know they can be shipped less than that. It pisses me off when companies do that "we will only ship 2 day or less to Alaska" what the hell? OR the free shipping thing with no disclaimer then when you order "Oh we didn't mean Alaska or Hawaii" So say that in the freaking ad! Then they won't even give you a break on the shipping if they are shipping free to other people they should at least give us that amount of the shipping.
Sorry about the rant sore subject with me I guess.
Especially after got quote for getting a topper shipped here last week...$1600 in shipping! I can get on a ferry go to Skagway and drive to Seattle and back to pick it up for half that. I see a road trip in my future only thing that sucks is going through Canada can't bring back booze, ammo, or guns
Yeah they said they only ship by UPS which is the response you get from most companies "We only use such and such carrier" so I had them shipped to my aunt who will reship them via USPS and it will still be total $20 less than there quote.
