HELP! web sites won't load.
First let me say I'm barely computer literate. I do search and browse a lot. Most of my favorite sites won't load today. I've tried both Firefox and IE. I unpluged the computer and the Verizon box (forgot what it's called). I have Verizon DSL. I have Norton security, mid level.
Some sites load right away. A lot just time out.
Any sugestions?

There has a been a large scale denial of service attack that started around July 4. More sites appear to be getting affected and not loading. Most of the attacks were on Military and national security and wall street type sites. But it seems like many everyday type sites are having problems.
My compuserve won't load, neither will several other ho humm sites I visit.
What I have been reading and hearing on the news.

Well, that was fast. Thank you. At least I know I'm not alone. I heard about the Govt. sites being down. I'm going into withdrawl without access to my Porsche site.
Would one of you try Pelican Parts.com for me and tell me if it loads for you?
